The Canal du Midi, a universal work of art registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Built during the reignof Louis XIV, the Canal du Midi is onr of the most extraordary achievements of modern civil engineering. By it's scope first, then the ingenuity of it's water supply system, and finally the scale of the work done in only 14 years (1666-1681).

Measuring 240 km long, it is one of the oldest canal still operating in Europe.

Since 1996, the canal du Midi is registered at UNESCO World Heritage List.
