Find out more about Nailloux Outlet Village's commitments

On the program

A meeting with the Patronage Program team

A stand will be put in place at the entry to the village to welcome you, and to raise awareness among visitors for the cause we are working together to support.

Sale in support of the Canal du Midi

Find the books “Violette Mirgue” and “L’eau et des siècles”, the “canal du Midi” posters, and the “Nougaro, autour de minuit” CD on our stand.

All takings will be donated to the canal du Midi replanting project.

A micro-donation kiosk

Since 2021, a kiosk taking donations of €3 has been in place in the outlet village, meaning everyone can do their bit to help save the Canal du Midi. This kiosk allows visitors to contribute to the replanting of the canal’s tree canopy.

It can be found on the high street of the Nailloux Outlet Village, and will of course be available to visitors during the upcoming Giving Tuesday.

We’re counting on you!

You presence itself will be a contribution to this huge project, as the Nailloux Outlet Village has committed to donating €1 for every entry on November 29.

So let’s come together to replant the Canal du Midi!

Piano du Lac, concerts on the water at Ventenac in Minervois (11)

The Piano du Lac company is moving to Ventenac-en-Mirnevois (Aude) for two evenings of floating concerts on the canal du Midi, on September 2 and 3, for the benefit of the replanting project.

On September 2 and 3, the calm waters of the Canal du Midi will host the concert “Two Solar Systems”, performed by two musicians and a singer from the Piano du Lac company.

Programming:

  • Thursday September 2, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.
  • Friday September 3, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.

This event is organized by the Nouvelles Racines association, which works for the replanting of the Canal du Midi and in partnership with Voies navigables de France and the City of Ventenac-en-Minervois.

Show “Two solar systems”: song music on the water.

From lake to lake, from pond to river, from port to shore, let yourself be enchanted by this unexpected poetic spectacle. The image may seem surreal but the boat of the PianO du Lac, a half-tail, is indeed floating ..!

A singer and a salt worker, musician and picker of fleur de sel, nature and music are intertwined in the life of Delphine Coutant. It was therefore quite natural that she joined the adventure of the company “Le pianO du lac” in 2015, floating pianos in the same spirit with more than two hundred and fifty concerts in the waters of France and Spain.

For this new floating show, Delphine surrounds herself with trombonist Jenny Violleau and cellist Daniel Trutet. Coming from popular song but studying for four years writing and orchestration at the Conservatory of Nantes in order to expand her range of composer, Delphine Coutant signs here unusual compositions at the crossroads of popular and scholarly music, nourished by poetry of nature and accompanied by it. A new creation where “under the pullovers grow camellias, two solar systems come together”.

Patrice Rouzière Exhibition at the Côte du Midi-Somail Tourist Office (11)

From March 8 to April 25, discover Patrice Rouzière’s watercolors of the canal du Midi at his “Lumières du Midi” [Lights of the Midi] exhibition.

Patrice Rouzière is an artist from Toulouse. While he was studying at the National School of Decorative Arts (1982-1986) in Paris, his musician friends encouraged him to work during orchestra rehearsals. His paintings on the theme of music, which he developed over a period of twenty years, are pictorial scores that integrate the calligraphic aspect of musical writing with visual and sound sensations.

On returning to Toulouse, Patrice Rouzière turned to the landscapes of his region and the various countries discovered during his travels. His energetic painting expresses intense impatience and joy, a style of painting that surges from the body. Part of its interest lies in an abundance and accumulation of pictorial matter, where patches of color and layers of impasto vigorously applied give the painting its structure. The layering brings to life a certain freshness on the canvas as well as a sensation of perpetual movement of color, as if still in fusion or developing. Amidst wildly jostling shapes, a sculpted light appears on occasion to offer a moment of tranquility in a corner of the sky. A dialogue is established between the figurative and the abstract, moving from one to the other to depict the true feeling of the landscape and not merely its representation.
