Open-air film screening at the Cale de Radoub

Save the date: Saturday September 17 for the 6th edition of open-air film screenings at the Cale de Radoub in Toulouse, an event to benefit the canal du Midi replanting project.

For the 6th consecutive year, the Voies navigables de France patronage program, in partnership with Cinéfol 31, the city of Toulouse, Actu.fr and CIC Sud-Ouest, is offering the public an open-air screening in a unique setting. The Cale de Radoub, a unique location in the pink city that is usually closed to the public, will open its doors on Saturday September 17, 2022 for a waterside evening dedicated to the “7th art.” This event is being organized as part of the European Heritage Days

On the agenda: the film The Shape of Water in its original version (English), with French subtitles, at 8:30 p.m. (4 Oscars including Best Picture in 2018)

All ticket proceeds will be donated to the canal du Midi replanting project.

The Cale de Radoub dry dock

Located at number 65 allées des Demoiselles in Toulouse, the central basin and its 4 slipways, connected to the canal du Midi by a channel with an overhead crane, have existed since the 19th century. Boats and barges come here all year round to be repaired, and it is one of the most unique sites in Toulouse. It is also classified an official “Monument Historique.”
